Senior Vice President, Construction

Jim oversees the construction team in working with Greystone’s clients, financial and construction deal partners, and various guiding agencies to successfully navigate the preconstruction and construction execution process of its development projects. His team manages governmental agency approvals and permitting, design professional selection and oversite, contractor selection and management, construction budgets and schedules, and all other aspects of its development projects. He is also responsible for the company’s Risk Management oversite. As a member of the executive leadership team, Jim contributes to the overall business strategies and sits on the Investment Committee for the organization.

Jim brings over 25 years of leadership experience in construction, project management and real estate development where he has overseen more than 30 million square feet of construction with an approximate value of over $9 billion in variety of disciplines including single-family, multi-family, mixed use, mixed income, and commercial developments.

Jim joined Greystone in 2015, based in New York City where he served as Vice President of Operations for the market rate property development group until joining Greystone Affordable Development in 2021. Prior to joining Greystone, Jim was the President of a large construction firm based in Northeast Pennsylvania, leading a team of approximately 150 people.

Jim spent over ten years traveling the United States as an instructor and racing amateur moto-cross.
